Charoite - The Spirit Stone While charoite may have been named after the Chara river in Yakutia, most probably it was named after the Russian word "chary" which means "charms" or "magic." It is said that Charoite enhances self-esteem, accelerates spiritual growth, changes loneliness to love, and shows the way through fear to perfect peace. Source: www.skylineminerals.com Congratulations Winner Upon reviewing our December best seller list, the numbers indicate that our top sellers were rocks (270 items), 'Lurchin Urchin yo-yos (147), and gravity tubes (95). The rock number is a little misleading, however, as the computer only counted 63 small felt bags (filled with 10 rocks per bag), plus 25 large felt bags (with 30 rocks per bag). Thus if you counted the individual rocks within those bags, and added them to other rock sales, the total number of rocks sold would have been over 1,500! Several contestants came up with some very good guesses. However, the person who came the closest to having the right answer was Virginia R. of Raytown, who guessed we would sell 365 rocks during December. Way to go, Virginia!
